Titos is at every single party I go to. People here love it.

You would be surprised how little those specs guys know. They know their shite with beer and wine, but it seems they speak from the context of upselling particular brands of liquor, rather than having unbiased opinions.

They sure don't know shite about bourbon.

If you're in a distribution area for Balcones Single Malt Whisky out of Waco, I would buy that for him.

It was the well vodka at every bar I went to when visiting Jones in Galveston. They might not "hate" it, but bartenders laughed when I told them how much bars here in LA charge for it. A lot of bars here charge within the dollar for Tito's as for Goose/Ketel. (And yes I know Goose is not that great and is all marketing, but it is considered/priced as top shelf, which Tito's isn't supposed to be)

Barefoot something or another was the one we went to most.

My best friend drinks Tito's and was shocked when she was constantly charged only a few bucks for it. Even more shocked when she ordered "vodka/water" and was given Tito's. I'm sure they don't all serve it as their well, but it wasn't nearly as praised as I see it praised here.

Like I said, bartender laughed at us when we told him what she normally pays for it here. Granted, I guess that's expected when something leaves the state..? I don't know. That bar was serving all St. Arnold brews (including Endeavor and Icon) for $3 on certain nights too, so might just be a great priced local bar.

He probably laughs that different states charge different prices for gasoline too.

Probably. Taxation can make a difference between states.

I think Texas is charging some sort of new sales tax on retail alcohol starting this year.

Plus supply and demand.
