re: Abita strawberry?

I don't buy as much Abita as in recent years either, but agree with the majority here, they do a better Strawberry than their local competition.

Have never had a Fruli, Sam Smith, Carolina, etc..strawberry beer.

possibly today from what i'm told (my wife loves that stuff)

The trick with this is that you have to mix the keg up periodically for the strawberry purée to stay mixed with ale. Otherwise it doesn't pour well. And before you say anything Abita makes theirs with strawberry extract and purple haze is made with raspberry purée.

Kind of agree. Don't get the love for the stuff. Tasted like a wine cooler to me, but to each his own. I won't lose sleep over it.
