Is Lake Chicot still lower than normal or did it get filled up with drainage from the north that didn't get diverted into the river?

A lot of the rivers here in Missouri are on the way back up. I checked the Black, Big and Fabius today.

How is the Missouri river? I regsitered for the MR340 race in July and am concerned about it being postponed.

In case you haven't heard of it, the MR340 is a kayak race from Kansas City to St. Charles on the Missouri river

Given your TD screen name, I'm thinkig you may have heard of the race!

I have definitely heard of the race and am considering paddling that one this year myself. If you decide to do it, get in touch with me when you are on your way up here. By July the Missouri should be down considerably. Right now it is mostly the smaller rivers that are going back up. We are getting major rain here this week, the smaller rivers like the Jacks Fork, Big, Black and even the Meramec rise pretty quickly with heavy rain, but they go down pretty quickly also.
