No. Just a guess. Looked up some images on the www as templates. i.e., LINK

Did he happen to fly with the 303rd? I had a cousin that was a 303rd B17 pilot and flew missions over Germany. While researching his service, I found this website (link below) that has some really great information on the missions they flew, pictures, nose art, etc.

you are the man. my mother's father died when she was very young and this man was like a father to her. My son has his name so this means a lot. I might sit on until christmas if I can wait that long.

I'm curious what NC Tigah et al. can do with colorization. Maybe a bad arse B17 in the background.

my great uncle is a WWII vet also. he just had his 100th birthday two weeks ago
