Make an avatar out of a you tube video. total noob on this..

Take a picture of the computer screen with a camera or your phone. Upload it to the internet. Copy the image file location and put it in the appropriate spot in your profile.

[1] Pause YouTube.
[2] Press silly putty to screen.
[3] Come to TD and smash silly putty in avatar spot.

...you need to download, convert, resize and "capture" the part of the video you want as an avatar and then send avatar image to the web so others can see it.

Not the easiest thing to explain... lots of programs to use. (start with "GIF capture"...)

Much better than my answer.

As for a legitimate and easy answer, The "print screen" button works wonders. Once you push it, just paste it into a photo editing program, even paint will do. Crop it and resize accordingly (a max size of 150x150).
