Adobe Illustrator assistance request

Anyone have adobe illustrator that can convert a pair of files to a high res output file?
I have the pdf vector that I paid to have designed, but am now trying to transfer it to a piece of wood with slight mods. The guy doing the cuts asked for a vector (which I think the pdf is) but I'm looking for some other format to give him.
I'll send an email if someone can help, obviously not my forte. TIA

A vector is an image file type (*.svg, *.ai filetypes). It's possible that the PDF contains a vector image within. However, it's not guaranteed. You may want to find out what file extension he uses since there are multiple vector filetypes.
