His other offer was Hanley/Marte for Tulo, but I think I'd rather give up Cespedes than Hanley.

I'd rather dump cespedes too. But if I have Hanley and he can play SS I'm not trying to get Tulo

I agree. Hanley carries more name value to trade.
Get Tulo at ss, trade Hanley for a masher, and I think the team would be better off.

Really just looking for some additional pop and Hanley has 3B eligibility, so I can plug him there.
Other options are Machado (currently UTIL) or Frazier (been playing him through the injury.

Tulo has been worse than Hanley if you want to talk meeting projections. He's always hurt.
Hanley had one off year in his whole career. Dude went 24/92 with 21 steals last year. His power and speed combo at SS is unrivaled.
I'm wouldn't go out and overpay for a stud Ss when I already have one, especially if I then need to go out and trade the other. Just me. I like Tulo too and think he's arguably the top SS. I don't see the need to shake it up when HanRam is 1b SS.
Newbs are buying on Marte and Segura. Sell them now before its too late. Pair them with Cespedes and land a stud 2B like Cano or any other proven stud and call it a day.
Eta: you have Machado for 3B, HanRam at SS. Don't get fancy here. You have the pieces for a stud 2B. You can have elite players at the two thinnest positions. Gives you a huge leg up

Here's my roster:
C: Mauer
1B: Votto
2B: Kelly Johnson (Hill on the DL)
SS: Segura/Hanley
3B: Machado
OF: Marte
OF: Cespedes
OF: Willingham
UTIL: Machado/Frazier
UTIL: Walker
BN: Aoki
BN: Cain
BN: Zunino
BN: Nakajima
DL: Eaton (really no reason to hold him, just haven't dropped him)
SP: Darvish
SP: Price
SP: Latos
SP: Tillman
SP: Locke
RP: Chapman
RP: Papelbon
RP: Veras
RP: Valverde
BN: Wacha
So... pretty good team.
Guy looking to trade has Utley, if I was looking for a better 2B option. Though healthy Hill is pretty good.
2nd in runs, 1st in steals, 1st in OPS, last in RBI, bottom 5 in HR.
3rd in saves, next to last in ERA, bottom 5 in WHIP, 2nd in K/9, bottom 5 in QS.
It's a weekly H2H league. Just wanting to make sure I got my bases covered for playoff run.

What about a two for one? Beltran and someone for Votto?
Posted on 6/5/13 at 3:37 pm to OBUDan
I wouldn't mess with it too much.
I thought you were looking to build your keepers as if you were done for this year

Mostly trying to unload some of the younger long-term guys to bolster this season.
Posted on 6/5/13 at 3:45 pm to OBUDan
I think you should sell segura and Marte. See if you can get a power-speed OF like Cutch or Cargo

Points league - Burnett and Colon are both free agents. Which one would you rather have for the rest of the season?
Posted on 6/9/13 at 9:06 pm to gatorhater211
AJ Burnett is a free agent? Is this is a 0 team league?
Posted on 6/9/13 at 9:20 pm to Vicks Kennel Club
I just picked him up. I asked the guy who dropped him why he did it; he said he's a Yankee fan and knows Burnett is going to hit a wall. Don't know why he didn't try to trade him, but he isn't the brightest
Posted on 6/9/13 at 9:46 pm to gatorhater211
He is leading the NL in strikeouts, has a 3.12 ERA, and a 1.13 WHIP. He may not have the name of a current superstar, but he is pitching almost as well as anyone for fantasy purposes.
Plus, he was great in Pittsburgh last year. He is a safe bet the rest of the year.

Thanks. That's what I figured

Good lord Fowler continues to rake.
.304 10 HR 26 RBI 45 R 11 SB
4/6 yesterday 3 runs a double a SB.
.411 2 HR 7 RBI 9 R 2 SB so far this month.

Closer options?
Greg Holland or Fernando Rodney?
Rodney has been pitching well lately.

Holland is probably the better pitcher, but Rodney will likely notch more saves.
So kind of a toss depending on what you need.
