Trade advice

CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball league. I'm trying to pick up DJ LeMahieu and guy wants me to give up Kyle Hendricks. This is my first time playing this league. Anyone familiar with CBS and can give me some input? Thanks in advance.

Hendricks is my 2nd best pitcher and I have Kinsler at 2B already. I countered him with Kinsler and Hendricks for LeMahieu and either Greinke or Jacob DeGrom. I don't really want to lose that caliber of a pitcher without a replacement. He has Jason Kipnis at 2B as well and will probably just sub him in when he comes off DL...my thinking anyways.
How does that sound?

I'm not understanding why you need to make this trade if you have Kinsler...
I would not give up Hendricks for DJ if it was my team.

That was my thought as well. I really just wanted to pick up DJ for Kinsler. He agreed to the counter which is Kinsler and Hendricks for DJ and Greinke. Does that sound any better?

I wouldn't have made the trade giving up Kinsler and Hendricks. On paper its just not a good deal.
The only way that trade works out for you is if Greinke out performs his draft position and gives you what he did a couple of years ago...
I get wanting certain players on your team but the only cat DJ gives you over Kinsler is AVG

You give him the better 2nd baseman and the better starting pitcher. Why would you want to do that?

just going by CBS's rankings, DJ is 66 and Kinsler is 67. About 20 spots difference in Hendricks and Greinke but its my first time playing this. looking to have some fun with it, its a free league.
