Do you all expect him to play exponentially better than last year or to have a somewhat similar season?

Im deciding if I want to keep him not. I have Jordy nelson, Allen Robinson, Mark Ingram, and Todd Gurley. I get 2 keepers and these are my 4 best players.

What's the penalty for keeping him?

I mean he's definitely got the most upside, IMO. But as for this year, I lean more towards him having a similar year to last than his rookie. That line is terrible, and I've never been a Goff fan. They really don't have that outside weapon either to back teams off. Cooper Kupp doesn't exactly scream "no more 8 man fronts". I'd keep Gurley and Robinson. (Assuming Nelson is the higher pick).

Do you just keep your best players with no penalty? That sounds a little ridiculous

He is better than all your players except jordy. Not sure what you are confused about.

Yet he was ranked 3 out of 4 in standard scoring and last in PPR scoring last year out of the players.

He has some serious concerns.

Well there's 3 things I weigh the heaviest when evaluating a player. Talent, volume, and supporting cast. He's got all the talent and volume in the world. He'll go as far as his supporting cast lets him. RBs on shitty teams can still produce, but it's the game script that will kill him if the Rams are constantly down several TDs. Hopefully their defense is good enough to keep games close for Gurley...or else hopefully this new coaching staff actually uses him in the passing game.

If you want to look at the glass half full, considering how bad the offense and coaching staff were last year, the chances are that they are more likely to improve than to get even worse. They got rid of Fisher and Goff has a little more experience now

Todd Gurley ran for 141.5 ypg in his first 4 career starts, but has averaged just 59 ypg rushing in the 24 games since.

Todd Gurley's last 24 games: 1,416 rushing yards
Ezekiel Elliott's first 15 games: 1,631 rushing yards

Todd Gurley has started 28 games. He dominated in the first 4. In the other 24, he's been at or above 100 rush yards 1x. #FantasyFootball

Grabbed Todd Gurley in a few spots lately. Still worries me he's at 3.43 YPC with one 90+ yard rushing performance over his last 24 games.

Todd Gurley ran for 146, 159, 128 & 133 yards in his first 4 full games. In 24 games since, he's hit 100+ once, & 80+ four times.

Still no WR
No QB

Mcvay and whitworth are the only hope

His performance last year is the reason for the discount obviously. Needless to say if he played to half his potential last year the debate would be gurley or DJ..... don't confuse yourself gurley is a more valuable player than any of the aforementioned.
