Team loves him and are doing everything they can to make him THE GUY.

I like his skill set, he's the most talented RB on the roster and Browns O Line is pretty good.

Thoughts?

I grabbed him in the 10th round of a PPR league as a bit of a flyer. I just keep reading about how West isn't doing anything special and Crowell hasn't established himself like the Browns wanted.

The good thing is that we'll get to see how he's used and how he performs tomorrow night. The Browns are supposed to be using him a lot this week.

He's Abdullah at a cheaper price now.

I drafted Crowell and Johnson in one league.

If Pettine has 3 RBs, he has 0

They love him.

I can't wait to see him tomorrow night.

Like I said, the Browns O Line is pretty good.

I scooped him up late in a couple of leagues, could be huge if he pops.

West is shite and Duke is more talented than Crowell.

This is Duke's spot to lose.

I'll believe this when I see it. That RB situation last year was so much of a shite show that I don't know how anyone could have confidence that they'll manage Johnson properly.

Mate, they loved Ben Tate at one point . They love West, they loved Crowell at one point. Only had 5 games of Mack last year

Anyone is in play late, so Johnson can be worth a flyer. That offense screams fantasy shitshow, though

In my 12 team PPR league, 35% of the draft was running backs. That's 63 running backs drafted out of a total of 180 players. I drafted him as RB#47. That's a risk I'm entirely willing to take.

Both had their moments last year on a shite team with no pass game, also missing the best run blocking center in the league. Both still at 4 ypc last season. All 3 RBs just seem ok to me, which is the issue I think

West himself was a 3rd rd pick, Crowell a #1 RB recruit and SEC FOY.

Not every rookie RB is the bees knees

Talented, the opportunity is there, and he's cheap.

If I have to own a Browns player, that's the only one.

Looks like the hype train is already leaving the station:

quote:

ESPN's Adam Caplan expects Duke Johnson to lead the Browns' backfield in touches if he stays healthy.

This is the sense we've started to get as Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West have sleepwalked through the preseason. Both the coaching staff and local media have spent a good deal of the summer talking the third-rounder up, while he has a hold on third-down duties no matter what happens between now and Week 1. With Crowell and West working to cancel each other out, Johnson could start encroaching on their supposed early-down territory.
