That sounds unreal, but I would have no second back and Cruz would go to the bench. I would need a RB near Cruz's level/value to do that.

Yeah I offered CJ and 50 in bid money. Would be interesting for both teams for sure. I think we are good as is if you want to hold off.

Just looked at your deal. No thanks on the swap for Cruz even with the $50. P

Like: Peterson & DT88 are top 3 at their position. Really like Kyle Rudolph this year. Reggie Wayne and Decker are nice bench players. Could start for some other teams.
Dislikes: just not a huge Stacy fan, and i dont like his backups here either.
XFactor: Torrey Smith. Will be playing the "Andre Johnson role" in Kubiak's offense. Will he produce like that?

It's all really close. No bad teams imo . I know we always say that but its true

Ricks team turned out well despite the $$$ he spent on some guys. Pretty balanced with decent depth
21- damn, gerhart, gore, Ty and Welker? Bleh. Do not want. By product of spending big on QB and Dez, thiugh they could keep you in it most weeks I guess
Honk has some potential. Crabtree and Morris are not "my guys", but they could be compliments to your others. Nice bench .
Port landed the studs, but I think it hurt him other places. CJ, Maclin, Sanders are not a sexy trio. Luck needs to earn his $16
OMT went the same way port did. Has to rely on Stacy, smith, and one of Moreno/decker/Wayne. I just don't know.
Clams with the WTF team of the draft for me. TWill and Tate as a 1/2? Ballsy. Spent too much $$ on RB, and none are guarantees.
LE has a nice balance. Wasn't a fan of Desean coming in, but I read a note on the Z WR in Jay Gruden offense and how they produce. Felt that pick tied the team together.
Like what Lou did. RBs run a little risk but could be studs. Nice value with VJax at flex. Like Woodhead and britt on the bench too
MWG- glad you backed up Cam. Gonna be honest, not huge on some of your guys. Gronk's health will be huge. Like hunter on the bench. Floyd and Jennings are key.
VKC- It's crazy how I dig your team and victor Cruz at 23 just ruins it for me almost. Like, you're building this nice team and you get caught bidding up Cruz or whatever.. Just stay the frick away dude. You're already low on funds. If you're gonna spend the 23, there were 10 other guys in that range that makes your team elite. shite you could've gotten Tate and Hunter for 18 and been better off. Cruz could be fine but frick man
Earl- put together a pretty balanced squad. Guarantee me Harvin and Cameron come out swinging and I'll put you up there with the best of em. We just don't know at this point.
Toula- tough to be hard on you- I drafted a team last night w Lacy brown Patterson and Witten- have Vereen in TDFL too. I like all those guys. Romo for 5 is nice. I think you did pretty good but those guys do possess some risk, I can admit that.

Fwiw it was Calvin and Cj25 plus 50.00 for McCoy and Cruz. On paper you would have the best set of wr in history with middle of the road backs. Mine would be the opposite. Just threw it out there. I like my team as is, too.
Posted on 8/24/14 at 11:34 pm to PortCityTiger24
give that man $150.00 !
Posted on 8/24/14 at 11:39 pm to PortCityTiger24
The gap of Cruz > Chris Johnson is worth more than the $50. I also think I will enjoy owning an elite back for the first time in years.
Posted on 8/24/14 at 11:41 pm to Vicks Kennel Club
I guess. You might have overpaid a little of him though.
Posted on 8/24/14 at 11:44 pm to PortCityTiger24
I did. I just don't really want to start Chris Johnson.
No idea how I paid less for Reggie. I guess Ben Tate or Rashad Jennings are equivalent running backs.

the elite backs in this draft were a steal. i dont understand why everyone doesn't go in ready to spend $55-60 on a top 4 back and build their team around it. if you had the chance in a draft this year to pick your position most would want the top 4, might as well do it in an auction and get a truly elite back with all the unknowns behind them

Charles 56 vs 57
Forte 54 vs 58
Peterson 52 vs 57
Mccoy 53 vs 57
not much difference.

those are pretty significant. you guys were sitting on your wallets in the beginning

compare the Top wr and TE prices. I want to say this draft paid more from the naked eye
RBs are getting more and more volatile. I don't think what you said is accurate about people wanting that top 4 spot or that they should spend upwards of 60 on a top RB.
Yeah, if I get a top 5 pick in a snake draft, I am almost forced to take the top RBs whether I want to or not. You pretty much know how the draft will unfold ADP wise and where you will get your value.
If I'm in an auction, I have the option to spend the money where I want and it won't be on a top RB.

im thinking you meant to respond to me but my main point is the lack of making people pay for the top 4.
McCoy/Forte/AP under $55 shouldn't happen. too many people go into auctions with their "plan" and it goes straight to shite after a few bids and they are left wishing they would have ponied up. in an auction you should be ready to strike at a first round talent and adjust your strategy
you can tell with the lower tiers that people were paying high prices since they missed out on the better tiers

Yeh I can agree with that. I noticed more money was left on the table late in this draft. Pony up those extra few bucks if you wanted the stud kind of thing
Posted on 8/25/14 at 12:23 am to GynoSandberg
Tate and one of Andre Johnson, Garçon, and VJax OTB for a RB upgrade if anyone is looking for depth.

I'll be in the minority, but I feel Gio will be a top-8 RB in a PPR.
For me to get him at $41, I really like. Don't like the same price on Jordy, but I had to get a "No. 1 WR". And I really hate my $13 on Sankey -- I just wasn't able to dedicate enough focus to the draft and didn't realize I already had Steady Freddy as a No. 3 back.
If I could go back and combine my $4 Cooper and $13 Sankey and get a Flex, then I would like my squad's chances.

i like Gio at $41 but say someone offered you McCoy for Gio and Sankey. which would you rather?
