Have we seen enough Perkins to say he sucks?

Perkins is probably good for 200 carries. He finished the last 4 games out of 2016 going 62-271 for 4.4 per carry

Vereen didn't do much in the pass game last year when healthy. Year before 7 of his games were 5 points or less. I didn't realize he was a thing. Seems to be a little of that preseason hype though

112 carries idk Big J. That line is just bad, but he had the most success behind. Fall into the end zone a few times and who knows

There is a lot more tape out there on vereen that suggests he's just a guy yes

Perkins will double what Vereen puts out this year.

Duke

He's going to get touches. Needs to find the endzone but I think he's gonna be good this year. He was pretty good last year, just didn't score.

I don't think he's gonna go nuts or anything but a guy like Melvin Gordon was a $10 guy last year. He was written off. Ajayi too. Those guys were perceived as done. It's easier to swallow if he sucks at $10. Still has a little upside

At the same time, last year Jeremy Langford was a $20 guy, Lacy $37, miller $49, Rawls $25, Charles $34, Peterson $41, martin $22.. that's brutal. Injuries, suckage etc

Vereen's issue is more about injuries than talent, I'm not saying he starts but for his price, he's going to provide a nice ROI in a PPR

Appreciate all the write-ups.

I definitely did not plan to go into the draft (I hate most RB's and want WR-heavy teams, but there is so much value at RB). A few years ago, I could buy elite guys at like $50 or even less, but their value is being realized (and maybe even over-realized IMO).

Outside of Jordy at $57 (which was a great buy), I thought the elite guys price tag is too hefty. Throw in Gyno immediately pushing up most elite WR to $65 off the bat (nothing wrong with that - the $1 bidding on studs is a pain), I knew I was mostly priced out.

Will going so RB heavy work, idk, but I leaned that way last year. (My WR2 was a $2 guy lol). I just felt the need to zag when the best values by far were at RB.

I did not intend to get four backs like that at all and wanted to save that flex for a great value like Ingram $13 or Woodhead $8, but I liked the price too much of Hyde $21. Definitely wish I could do it over, but we all made mistakes.

I love the variety of strategies in here and it should be good. Also, I would be happy to trade for a WR.

Commish

I was able to add Wendell Smallwood immediately (on accident). He should have went through daily FAAB, right?

i did some math on production by tiers and RB had the biggest drop off while WR has the least

with how people were throwing money around at WR, i thought getting a top-tier RB was worth it. i fricked up by pussying out, but w/e

there are more WR options on waivers than RBs and with RBs you're likely only to get a shot at a receiving back who has moderate floors/super low ceiling.

on top of value, variance plays a huge role in FFB (the most of any fantasy sport). people in this league seem to rely too heavily on high variance routes. it seems that within their mind, variance is decreased by playing in multiple leagues instead of analyzing the leagues themselves. so they go for high variance rosters and just shrug off the league if 1 of their 2 studs (who are 60-65% of their budget) gets hurt for long periods of time

that's why i always try to get depth via value. with the scoring system we have, variance is lessened. no reason to leave excess points on the table in weeks you win, and lose bigly in weeks your team is off.

Did someone drop him? If not, then no.

Everyone was not frozen after the draft. If we did that, it would have frozen all of the players in the tiger conference.

Waivers will run normally from this point out though. The person you dropped is on waivers. They will be on waivers for a full day, then on the day they expire they will go through waivers. If unclaimed they will become an unrestricted f/a. Make sense?

Also trade me a back.

I'll put this out there: I'm willing to trade one of my big guns to a team that has a lot of depth. At this point I don't care about auction value, it's in the past. It doesn't need to add up to 75 like some owners will try with ya, but it needs to be legit, like a fringe tier 1 guy and a tier 3ish guy. HMU!

Thanks, I just wanted to alert you right away and not make any other moves in case that was wrong. Makes perfect sense. Playing daily FAAB in VIAC messed me up.

I will take a look at your roster for sure. This unbalanced lineup makes everyone short on backs want to trade with me. This is nice.
