You trade picks to load up on players for the stretch run. Then in the offseason, you flip those players back to the teams that sold em originally
Not hating on the deal, because it is what it is and has been that way for years in this league. Im trying to do the same thing. It's a dumb practice, though, and I think we should change it heading into the 2015-2016.
Dynasty league with a rookie draft every year or something like that. I think Toula was kicking around the idea

I only traded two picks last year, my third and fourth.
I made two huge blockbuster deals where I traded CP3 and Harden last year. That's really how I built my team.

I like the idea of 10 keepers, then draft 5 remaining spots which includes rookies or f/a.
