The way our keepers work is in years past we kept three players and gave up first 3 rounds. We are changing this to have the option of keeping up to 3 and giving up round drafted . We slotted the keepers last year into round 1,2,3 based on the draft rankings when we drafted.
A guy is bitching because I have McCoy as his first and Hill as his second.

Help me remember but didn't Hill jump up towards the end of drafts and McCoy fall back. Basically in early August would McCoy have been ranked higher? This is ppr by the way

That is a tough rule to change in an existing league.

Doesn't seem like something worth debating over. Also impossible to retroactive rank players or use a certain "expert" rankings to decide

I had Hill over McCoy last year, but most "rankings" had them flipped.

Rank him as the owner wants and move on, IMO

We aren't retroactive ranking them we are going by the Rankins the day we drafted and a google drive spreadsheet that we slotted them in that day

Why not just make it to where they lose the pick in whatever round they were drafted the year prior?

If it's an FA, they lose a 5th or 6th round pick

Why make this complicated

Because some of the keepers weren't drafted they were kept the year before. Hell some have been kept the past 3-4 years repeatedly

Then every consecutive year they are kept they go up a round. So if it was a free agent initially then he lost his 6th rd pick. If kept the next year again he loses a 5th rd, and then a 4th the next yr after, etc.
