I am in a 3 way tie for the 6th and final playoff spot. The tie breaker selected is "head to head". I won both of my mathcups with the teams that are tied. Is there anything I could be missing or is this definitely an error that I need to get corrected?

If i had to guess it was probably decided by most points.

If two or more of your league members had the same winning percentage at the end of the regular season your commish can select from the following options as the be-all end-all tie-breaking system (and if they choose to do nothing then they're stuck with the default order shown below):

Overall points scored (Default setting for all leagues unless changed by League Manager)
Head-to-Head Record*
Division record
Overall points-against

* When Head-to-Head record is selected as the tiebreak criteria, and in the event that three or more teams have the same winning percentage at the end of the regular season, these teams must have played the same number of games for it to be used.
I'm assuming this applies to your situation.

On my ESPN season the spot that lists anything about a Tie is where it says Match up tie breaker and we have most bench points selected. Maybe contact your commish, He should know

Were having this same issue. Its pathetic that the ESPN site makes it so difficult to find what the tie breakers are and how they are used.

But wouldn't they have played the same number of games? Am I missing something?

They have to have played the same number of games head to head during the season.

In my leagues, as it is in the NFL, when 3 or more teams are tied, head to head is NO LONGER considered, regardless if Team A beat both Team B and Team C.

That's not how the NFL does it, my man.
