I'm all for Hugo being in but tbh I agree with duck on this one. We've had multiple threads for this league over the past month +. If someone is too late in payment or just bails outright then we need Hugo in.

I've been in the last two years. I think is pretty shitty to kick someone just because someone who quit years ago wants to all of a sudden play again. Where I come from, once you quit, you have to get back in line and wait for a spot to open up to rejoin a league.
Additionally, I'm disappointed I wasn't emailed asking if I was in this season. My email address is in my user profile and has been for years plus my email is probably on the league website from last season.

Dude, It's the off season and I am not on here nearly as much as I used to be because of my job. And, like most people, I don't read the fantasy sports board until the preseason begins. I only play in two leagues, this one and an IDP auction league.
If y'all have already committed to other people playing, that's cool, I'll deal with it. I wouldn't want someone to be asked to leave on account of me but damn, try to be a little more professional next time.

I'll be honest, Tuck isn't playing (no one has heard from him) so that is why no one received an e-mail.
I've started 2 threads on this board and on the SECrOT, Duke has started threads, and Aubin has as well. We were trying to get people/find people after last year's cluster frick ending. No one meant to purposefully cut anyone from the league but we kept asking and those who responded were granted access.
I know you and I have probably e-mailed before but I don't have your email address saved, I doubt Duke does as well. So again the e-mail thing never happened for anyone this year because we did not know e-mail addresses. Oh and league website we can't access from last year so we could not get it that way either.
I know you've posted on this board before yesterday so I'm not sure why you never chimed in before because you are active and that has always been important. I also have no problem giving you priority placement over anyone if they don't pay within a week.

I see where yall are both coming from. But if it was my call I would give priority to past members over a newb that just showed up to fill in empty spots. I mean we are still over 2 weeks out. If Hugo came in the week of the draft it would be a different story. But to give priority to a newb spot filler over a past league member is pretty shitty with over 2 weeks out from the draft. Especially since the cluster last year happened and every effort (email, etc..) wasnt made to contact old members.
I think the commish (td/duke/whoever it is) should be more forgiving and loyal to past members at this point.

There will be someone who doesn't pay on time (my money is on Belle since she doesn't actually post) or one of the new members. I am 99% sure Hugo ends up in this league again.

Just gave my opinion on what I thought was fair so I don't really understand why it was unprofessional? If someone has an answer to this please tell me. It would have been my preference for you to be in since you've been in the league so long and never forget to set your lineup.

I wasn't calling you out. Just saying, it's not that hard to get a hold of a regular poster on this site (anywhere on the site) if you go to their post history, respond to their most recent post and ask, "Hey, you in on the SECR league?" Do that a few times over a few days if you don't get a response, then give up. Seems like whoever runs shite just wanted to get a league together as fast as possible given the circumstances and never mind some of the folks who participated last year. That's what seemed less than professional to me.

Ok guys this needs to get better organized. We havent heard from or LM all week, and payment and league should be set up by now.
My proposal is this. I will take over LM and have td co-LM. League will be set up by the end of the day and league safe within a couple of hours. Payment for the league will have to be made by the end of this week or you get replaced. Draft order set as soon as payment is recieved from all members. Hugo is in and the last newbie to join is out. Sorry but priority is given to past members.
Thats what I'm offering to get this thing rolling by the end of this week so that everyone has a chance to research and game plan for a additional week before draft. Draft would be on the 6th at 8 central.
If you guys dont want me to do this then Td please takeover, or Duke come out of hidding. This league has been together to long to be this unorganized this late in the game.

At this point I just want the ball rolling. I am also good on Hugo being in. I don't remember who was the last new guy in but I think 3nout was the first one and has been active in discussions for the past month. He looks to be a great addition.
