Getting Adam Jones I imagine. No harm in cutting bait with fringe keepers to land a stud (if you consider Jones a stud).

Not keeping Beltran or Kuroda. Choo is 31 and we only keep 8. Would have liked to pawn off each for a pick, but got rejected by everyone I proposed a deal to. I wanted to send that package to Lou but he's attached to Hosmer and I don't blame him.

Tried to sell Beltran for a 2nd - rejected

Tried to sell Kuroda for a 2nd or 3rd - rejected

Didn't try to sell Choo but no one made an offer either. Would have sold him for a second also.

All prices I thought was reasonable to no avail. No sense if keeping them all to the deadline and getting no upgrade. Suddenly my keeper set for next year looks a lot better.

Andrus, Lincecum, Dempster, Montero, Konerko, and even Cueto are still available.

Me either

He was adamant about getting high picks for both Beltran and Kuroda and gave them up for a slight, slight upgrade.

Who with picks would have bought?

Gyno - doesn't have picks to meet what I want

Rondo - doesn't need to buy anything

Lou - doesn't want to pay the asking price nor give up the player I covet

VKC - same; already sold his 1 and 4 and doesn't have an upgrade he's willing to give up

EARL - only wanted Balfour that I sold to gyno

cwill - selling

Besides Chat, who's going to buy my players?

Would I have liked some picks in return, definitely. But no one is willing to pay.

Quite frankly, yea. Got a little younger and added some more power.

It's a frenzy at the deadline. All those teams will be buying then or they wont win.

I dont really have a problem with the trade though. I wouldnt want to keep Choo or Beltran. But you def couldve gotten more. I didnt even know they were OTB

just bad value. you could have given up 2 of those guys and got jones. Choo isnt that far off.

like Gyno said, people will buy. You just werent patient

The two guys most willing to deal picks already dealt them all. I wish you or Jew T still had picks but you guys bought early. I honestly don't feel ripped off and trust me, I do know I didn't get optimal value. I did what I intended to do... keep the majority of my draft picks and upgrade my keeper set(Butler/Jones) for next season. It certainly looks better than the team I took over.

I love when both of your catchers are given the day off. Start the NL catcher bc of a higher probability of PHing, AL catcher PHs and gets a bases clearing double.
