TDBL gives around 65% of the pot to their champion. About 20% to 2nd. 10% to 3rd. The remaining money will go to the highest scorer.
So
1st= 910
2nd= 280
3rd= 140
High scorer= 70

I think the 2nd place finisher should get more than that. Whether it's taking the high score money and giving it to second or taking a little bit off the winner's prize... doesn't matter.

If you're going to look at it like that, then why not winner just take all? Why give the "losers" anything? Why give the regular season "loser" anything?

I like 900/300/100. 100 for highest regular season score. Similar to your payout, but nice rounded numbers.
