Return yards

We have a 14 man league so I've decided to add return yards to make more players valuable. The only question is how many points to award. So far I am considering 1 pt per 25 yards or 50 yards. Per my research the max that would've been added to a player's total is a little over 3 points per game.
What says the board? Any experience with it? Does it alter the league in a bad way?
25/50?

Did it one season and championship team started Cribbs and Hester at WR, no thanks.

was it 1 point every 10 yards? If not I don't believe you.
assuming 1 point every 25 yards:
Only 10 guys averaged more than 25 yards per kickoff return last year, and no one averaged even 2 returns per game.
So at best you're likely to get 2 more points from that guy on average, and the only one of those 10 that you'd ever start is maybe Tyler Lockett. i'm assuming David Johnson isn't returning kicks anymore, but even if he did, you'll get an extra point out of him b/c of it.
Even adding punt returns, your just going to get an extra 2 or 3 points at best for that 1 game your guy returns one for a TD, since Sproles was the only guy to have more than 1 TD all last year.
There were 20 total TD's last year combined between punts and kickoffs.
Antonio Brown and Jarvis were the only startable guys that had a TD, and maybe Tyler Lockett. The rest of those guys aren't guys you'd ever start.

Sure, why not. That makes players who have limited roles on offense but return kicks full time a lot more valuable and with 14 teams you need as many valuable players to choose from as possible. I'd have to look further into it but I would tend to lean towards the 1/25 side.
