Okay in my matchup I currently have a 2 point lead(thanks Hopkins) going into Monday night. He has no one left to play and I have Thielan and Vikings D. I obviously expect Thielan to get some points so my D shouldn't matter if I keep them in.

So my question is do you keep the D in and try and get as many points as you can for the end of the season? Or do you just take them out and secure the victory.

With both of them playing, just leave them in youll need the points.

In this case, you're overthinking it. Just play them both.

Your defense would need to score -3 or worse with Thielen dropping a gooser. Odds of that are slim to none, just play them and add to your point total for later tie breakers

ETA: And they're playing the rookie in his first game of the season. They'll be fine

You always want as many points as possible. Last year (may have been 2 years ago) I was down by 50 going into a Monday night game that Jonathon Stewart was going to miss. I picked Artis-Payne and he scored 20 points. I got in the playoffs by less than a point on the tie breaker.
