I would like that. Sometimes I'm on the road all day for work and cannot check for an injury update

Yeah, I think it would have to be an understanding with everyone that the commish will be able to come in to your team and insert your players when it gets close to tip off. If we run in to an issue where I'm not able to get to it in time, I'd still be allowed to get in there after the games start as long as I insert the player while they are playing and I stick to the rule of inserting the best player in the last 30 days, not who's started off better in that particular game. That will probably never happen because I'm always around a computer but just so everyone knows.

Now, would this apply to injuries as well? Say it's announced 30 minutes before tip off the player will not play and the owner doesn't see it in time. He may be a regular and active but as someone who checks rotoworld multiple times a day, I think we could alleviate this as well and keep the owner and the opponents happy.

why don't you just manage all the teams? you don't even need owners

just kidding, but that's a lot to be responsible for everyone's team and all players. We just need a few better owners.

...i'm in favor of inserting lineups for someone who has been MIA, but if an active owner forgets a day or misses an injury, so be it. That's part of the fun.

There should be something to separate the extremely active owner from those that are just doing the minimum. Otherwise, we should just draft and check back at the end of the fantasy season.

...this proposal encourages inactivity

We said that this year. There seems to always be 1 or 2.

I personally disagree but you could be right. I think it would be more fair and the owner (could be yourself) that wasn't able to change it would be covered.

We're talking about inserting a player from bench to active IF he has someone available. We rarely have owners that don't insert but at the end of the season, they come out more when people are eliminated from contention.

Come on, the fun of this is drafting but more importantly, free agency and trades (you know you LOVE trades.) This wouldn't take away from that.

That's a terrible idea IMO. Take care of your business for you won't be in a situation begging for other people to set their rosters.

Just my opinion, but A commissioner should only have control of another's roster in cases were obvious cheating is taking place. Example, me being out of playoff contention and I randomly drop Tony Parker because I want the person who has the first waiver slot to win.

Tyson chandler 10 rebounds 5 minutes into the game

eta: wall making me regret keeping him 3/8 with 7 turnovers.

eta2: today is a clusterfrick I was worried about gallinari being a game time decision so I stuck redick in and its the 2nd quarter and he hasn't even been in the game wtf? big al might have a big game with millsap out though

it looks like it's going to be up to me to keep you in the playoffs. you got a great shot if I win the division because you hold tiebreaker over coach d. if he wins the division though both of us will be sad, you will miss the playoffs and I will be 4th seed and playing team james in round 1 most likely.

I have to beat james next week. that's no simple task though

I've watched him the past few weeks. what I've noticed is that he sets his lineup at the beginning of the week then doesn't touch it again. he at least tries, unforeseen injuries are his only problem

Well... Inactivity late in the year is certainly becoming a big factor. Might waltz into a win this week.

Last night he left Ryan Anderson on the bench with an empty PF spot. It was only 8 points but..

CQQ here's my thoughts:

Increase the playoff teams to 6(top 2 seeds get byes) if that doesn't fly you could go to 8(like the real NBA)

More playoffs spots keeps people in it and interested(making it more likely they stay active helping your second issue)

If people can't set their rosters with consistentcy they should be axed imo
