because you only need 3 healthy starters really. And you have 3 good ones.

i just think it was overkill when your hitters werent set yet. You don;t think you team would be better overall had you taken Shields/Romero then taken say one of the following:

Logan Morrison
David Ortiz
Alex Avila
Andre Ethier
Beltran

instead of Morrow

then say

Adam Lind
Kendrys
Cespedes
Rasmus

instead of Luebke

you would have had 3 really good starters and 9 active hitters that are really good.

prob would have been a top 5 team on my list.

you then could have added 4th starter later like Dempster, Wandy, Holland, Minor, Masterson, Edwin, Billingsley...

you would have been in much better shape, just in my opinion.

only one I think is Avila but I think he regresses this year with laird stealing at bats along with his high batting average on balls is play last year. My utilty spot is gonna be full since I kept 2 third baseman in Lawrie and Arod. My OF was full keeping Morse/Ells/Bruce. I just dont get the point of top bench guys when I could build a monster rotation. Im fine with guys like Crisp, Pagan, Sean Rod and Aviles filling a roster spot on off days. I feel my keepers are all guys who stay relatively healthy.

because in a H2H league, when you go into a week and you map out your starters, and all 3 of your top pitchers have good matchups(you'll pitch them regardless of matchup anyway), you aren't going to want to risk pitching Brandon Morrow against the Yankees or Red sox, for instance, or Luebke against a good hitting team.

you will only throw those guys later in the week if you need them to win a category. At least that's how I have successfully played my pitching for years.

with that being said, there is not much difference in Morrow/Luebke and the other pitchers i listed taken later in the draft.

You just get more 'run' out of hitters, even if they are on your bench. They'd be more valuable than pitchers you might not even start. Being 5 or 6 deep in a H2H league is pointless, especially if you are so in love with your top 3.

Canebrake is crisp and smooth with a beautiful golden honey color. This refreshing American wheat style brew highlights sweet remnants of sugarcane with notes of honey, spice, and citrus on the finish. A new Louisiana tradition, Canebrake was the first commerical beer in the world brewed with local sugarcane syrup.
I looked earlier on their site and couldn't find anything. APA?

Never seen it in BR or NOLA so I was just curious.

QS is the only stat you can compile though for a SP.

ERA, Whip, K:9 are all averages, obviously.

you start trying to put up QS and it can jeopardize all 3 of the other categories with just 1 bad outing.

good luck. you wont be that bad off if yall only start 9 hitters. and its always easier to look back and see what path you could have taken in the draft. its much different when your are in the heat of the moment.
