Yeah I wouldn't draft either in the 2nd and that is where they are going.

I'm not really convinced by Gordon as an NFL talent. 3.9 y/a is pretty paltry. Last year he was mainly a beneficiary of opportunity with the injury to Woodhead. He still would have been a useful fantasy player, but he wouldn't have had nearly the effect. That said, that opportunity that he had last year probably isn't going anywhere. The chargers haven't added anyone significant in the running game that I'm aware of. Still I would tend to go with the guy who I think is a better talent on this.

+1

Melvin Gordon is just an odd case to where he doesn't look like the style of player he was in college.

I think Howard is a legit NFL RB...just on a bad team.

Cheaper and more talented should be a pretty easy decision for you.

Why do you say that? There doesn't seem to be a consensus from the people I've asked.

You definitely keep David Johnson at a 2nd round price no matter what Ajayi's value is.

You have to go Gordon. There are too many questions surrounding Chicago this year, especially their offense. You never really know what will happen, but going with Howard, IMO is more of a risk.

Plus, in the 13th round there will be players out there you can take a risk on, who could possibly produce more than Howard. In the 8th round, it is still too early to start getting too risky.
