Agreed but who can blame him? Stuck with terrible QBs his whole career

"Raw" and "not good route runners" do not lead the world in recieving yards

moss sucked at route running also and put up good numbers. He could run the vertical and deep post. Same as gordon.. Their natural "raw" athletic ability allows them to succeed where other guys that are great route runners such as jerry rice have longer successful carrers. All i was saying is gordon isnt a good route runner, and he is not. Anyone that thinks he is are kidding themselves. I was simply saying he needs some good coaching to polish his skills that God has given him.

Damn Moss didn't have a long successful career? They made his name a verb

lol, moss would be my first pick over any wr in any draft.. he was a freak and in his prime the best ever "in my book"... but you know what i meant. Moss was a burner and had all the God given talent in the world. But he wasnt known for his route running which would have made him even better.

Moss was the best I've ever seen but put that Rice work ethic on him and it's not debatable.

exactly!! Like i said, moss is num1 in my book. But he could have been much better "which is scary"
And JG reminds me alot of him right now. Just that raw athletic ability allowing him to be a freak on the field. But he needs to learn routes and polish his game to take it to the next level. He is still young and maybe he can get to that.

What's his contract like? He needs a team like the patriots to get the best out of him. If he stays with Cleveland his career will be filled with "what ifs"

Randy Moss wasnt raw nor was he a bad route runner. He just did not go over the middle.. but why do something you don't have to do? It probably kept him on the field longer.
Im sure Gordon's off the field problems does not help his timing and route running any. Not to mention playing with 5 different QBs.

i was just talking about his career longevity.. as he gets older he will
slow down. Yes he can do it like he did last yr for the next couple of yrs no doubt

lets face it... what good has came out of cleveland since jim brown? Its kind of a black hole for talent.

Is he the best route runner in the league? Probably not. Doesn't mean he's not a good route runner, though. I went back and watched most of Gordon's games from last season, and his lack of route running didn't stand out. He ran slants, digs, go's, outs, stop and go's, comebacks, stop screens.
He isn't Jerry Rice but he got open on all of those routes.

If you have game rewind, go check out that 4 game stretch on condensed setting. Dude can do it all. And his RAC is smooth as butter. I also dig how he rarely shows emotion on the field.

i dont have it.. and im taking your word for it. I was never saying he sucked by any means. He has all the athletic ability in the workd and one of those freaks on the field. Just thought that his game could use some polishing

He is apparently frustrating to work with and coach. I was surprised to hear these negative things about him, but it made sense that they were sort of trying to trade him at one point after I learned that.
However, there is no doubt that he is an elite talent and can do a lot of things right.
