He is not getting a lot of buzz this year. His ADP is low considering his playmaking ability. Sexy Rexy is running the show now with Tyrod Taylor at QB... What does it all mean?!?

How much faith would you have in him as far as consistency? Is he a flex player with WR2 upside? Or high ceiling WR2?

One more question. Would you draft him? And where?

How many top 10 WRs have played on a team that was coached by Rex Ryan? The man loves to run the ball and play tough defense. I think alot of the hesitation on the Watkins hype may have been from the questions at QB. With Taylor as the starter, I think his stock will start to rise.

I'll put him at

though his ADP is starting to fall to the point where I'm starting to become intrigued

Exactly...I think he'll become appealing here pretty soon

Rex has never had a wr like Watkins, to be fair

I'd be more worried about the QB than the system

Taylor looks pretty decent at this point. Yes it's preseason, but that's all you can hope for. I see no reason he can't give at least what Orton gave, which isn't much.

So I don't know why Watkins is a forgotten man. He has a great opportunity to hit the ground running vs Indy.

Fair point, I agree. I do remember a Rex Ryan team that did have Santonio Holmes and Psaxico Burress and they were led in receptions and yards by a tight end.

His OC (Greg Roman) is known for a power run game. The 4 years that Roman was the 49'ers OC, they were 2nd in total rushing yards (8,912), third in rushing attempts (1,965), second in rushing yards per game (139.3) and third in rushes of 10 yards or more (267). They also rank sixth in yards per carry average (4.54). They worked together under Brian Billik in Baltimore and I would expect the same type of scheme that won them a super bowl.

Sammy Watkins is nicked up, but returned to practice yesterday. Prior to his injury, he was drawing rave reviews from Bills camp as the best player on the field, and it wasn't particularly close.

As a couple others have said, I'd be more worried about his production long-term as we have yet to really see what Tyrod Taylor can provide over the course of a season.

Is he one of those guys where his talent trumps the lack of solid play from QB?

Like D Thomas with Tebow a few years back? Or Andre Johnson in his prime?

I think he's the most talented receiver of the 2014 WR draft class.

Ok so does that equal enough fantasy value for you to draft/start/trust him?

he went for 65/975/6 last year as a rookie.

I would take the over on the first two for sure.

I just can't decide how much more on the over I would take.
