I never go into a draft with one strategy, but I do tend to wait until at least the middle rounds (and some times very late) to draft a QB (I play in a 4pt Passing TD 1/25yd league).

It does leave you often having to take chances on guys with upside, and sometimes you get burned, sometimes it can help you win your league.

This year:

Jared Goff's ADP is interesting to me. He's going pretty low in a lot of leagues. He was a low-end QB1 last year, but his ADP is lower than QB1 this year. They added Brandin Cooks, he's got another year in that system, etc.

I'm seriously considering rolling with him and maybe a Dak Prescott or Blake Bortles type and rolling the dice. Load up on WR/RB/TE early on.

What are you guys that tend to wait on QB looking at this year?

Dak's WR corp is gonna suck, and his comp% already dipped down from year 1 to 2.

Could see him run more, but he isnt a guy i want to count on

Stafford is always an option for me. Jameis could be a QB2 target

They are hammering dak on not being able to complete balls downfield in camp. His WR suck too

Keenum makes sense. Rivers is always consistent and always seems to slip through the cracks.

Case Keenum can be had extremely late.

Good weapons- DT, Manny Sanders, Courtland Sutton
Questionable run game
Soft opening schedule- Seahawks, Raiders, Jets, and Chiefs project to have average to poor secondaries. Ravens in week 3 are an avoid, but there should be streaming options available unless your league hoards QBs

Goff is a regression candidate to me. Would not be comfortable with him as my only QB but could risk it if He was my 2

With the new weapons and offense I don't see Mariota finishing outside the top 12-10 and hes going at QB 19 right now.

Dion Lewis is the only "new" weapon. But another year of development for Taywan Taylor and Corey Davis should mean something. Maybe. New OC should be the biggest development.

i like the additions they made at WR and they've got a good group on the O-line to protect him.

even though Gruden has been in the booth for 10 years or so one thing hasn't changed... he's a football junkie. A slow start by their O may not be a huge surprise but once they hit their stride they have the tools to put up good numbers IMO.

Yes. Keenum 14.08 ADP is a steal. Rivers 10.04 always undervalued

Meh for me personally but good value at 12.09

My falcons hate, and matty noodle fricking me out of a championship a few years ago...won’t even consider for better or worse

Also Winston at 14.04 and Eli at 13.11 are good values near the bottom.

Personally I love Luck at 8.08 (although his ADP may keep climbing too high) and Jimmy G at 9.05

Andrew Luck would be my choice. Goff isn't bad but I would try to land Luck

Stafford/Big Ben this year for me.

Ben's home/road splits have been a problem in the past, but when Shazier went down and they had to abandon their normally conservative road gameplan last year that went away. With all the weapons he has, a new OC, and the same D, I think he can be big this season.
