What does this mean for the rest of the Bears offense? Is there still hope for Meredith? Does Jeffrey see a resurgence in value? We probably need to wait to see how the chemistry shakes out, but how does the fantasy board see this situation shaking out?

I'm thinking Alshon gets a slight boost with targets.

Not great. Cutler couldn't produce that much while healthy. Alshon is a tad overrated. The real question is will meredith get the targets

Cutler may be a terrible nfl qb, but this can only mean good things for the Bear's fantasy offense.

Cutler has a long history of producing fantasy relevant WR, TE, and RB

Forte caught a ton of balls
Bennett caught a ton of balls
Jeffery/Marshall were both fruitful together

The Bears only have two real options at WR and a decent TE catching balls. Cutler will throw 30+ times at a 60% rate, with some TDs in there. Jeffery, Meredith, and Miller will be ok.

Kind of what I am thinking. He's been very inefficient with the interceptions, but he usually puts up a decent amount of yards. The main thing that I'm wondering about is his chemistry with Meredith. I picked him up a couple of weeks ago thinking I got a steal then Hoyer got knocked out. Does this save his value?

Yes, if you are asking are the chances of completing passes to Meredith and Alshon greater with Cutler than Barkely?

That 2nd WR has always seen ample targets

see Marquess Wilson last season when thrust into action as their WR2

gamelogs like

6/80 on 9 targets
6/85/1 on 8 targets
4/102 on 7 targets

see kevin white early in the year - didnt produce but saw 6 and 7 targets in the first two weeks

Marshall, Alshon, White, Wilson, Meredith - common theme here is that theyre all big WR, 6'3"+ .. just seems Cutler always links up with these type of WRs

I'm sure it's better than Barkley, but Meredith seemed like he was on his way to be a reliable starter. That's what I'm hoping (probably vainly) is still on the table.

I see now what you're asking. Alshon did well as the 2nd receiver when Marshall was there. I think Meredith will be fine

2013
Brandon Marshall 163 targets; 100 receptions
Alshon Jeffrey 150 targets; 89 receps

2014
Marshall 105 targets; 61 receps
Alshon 145 targets; 85 receps
