Is trading Geno Smith for Dalvin Cook a good trade?

The person I’m trading with has Josh Jacobs, Barkley, Dalvin Cook, Brandon Cooks, Rhamondre Stevens, and Dameon Pierce. His QB is Justin Fields. I’ve been trying to trade Geno, who is on my bench, for Dalvin Cook. Had I traded Geno for Cook he would have beaten me this week. I don’t get the stubbornness with that many RBs on his bench.

If I we're him, I'd be trying to get a QB with a history of more consistent production than Geno.

You can never have too many RBs. They get injured all the time, they have the most trade value of any position, and having 5 productive ones like he does is insane.

?? Geno for Cook is a horrible trade for the guy trading away Cook.

But he doesn’t have a QB on his bench at all and Geno has over 30 points back to back weeks. Seems like he could trade me something

The stubbornness??? Cook for Geno would be insane for him to do. Honesty, QBs have very low value, especially non-elite (top 3) QBs. You would be extremely lucky to even get Stevenson for Geno fricking Smith IMO

Brandin Cooks is not a RB btw

ETA- for the record, Geno has been a great story and good QB this year

I have 5 good rbs. Only way it is worth me to trade any of them is for Kelce, Andrews, or a wr1 which is what I’m trying to go after.

I had a bunch of good RBs as well. Another guy needed a RB really bad and he had a bunch of WRs. I traded Dalvin Cook and Tom Brady for Justin Herbert and Tee Higgins.

It’s good for you. I’m assuming your starter is better than Geno. But he’s looking for something better than Geni

That is pretty solid. I have Hurts so I’m set there. The top 2 TEs or a WR1 is really the only thing that makes since for me. I’m considering trying to make a play for Diggs.

Sorry he wouldn't trade you a first round RB for a QB that is still available in many leagues.

A lot of savvy owners don't carry a back-up QB because you can usually just grab one when needed.
