I know there was a big one for football, but I haven't seen one started for baseball.

Anywho, here is mine. 12 team Auction Roto, 6x6 with standard cats plus OPS and K/BB.

C: Yadi
1B: Billy Butler
2B: Daniel Murphy
3B: Donaldson
SS: Jung Ho Kang (like him a lot)
2B/SS: Kinsler
1B/3B: Josh Harrison
OF: Yelich
OF: Matt Holliday
OF: Ryan Zimmerman
OF: Rusney Castillo
Util: Pedro Alvarez

P: David Price
P: Phil Hughes
P: Hyun-Jin Ryu
P: Neftali Feliz
SP: Iwakuma
SP: Kershaw
RP: Cody Allen
RP: Steve Cishek
Bench: Brandon McCarthy
Bench: Addison Russell
Bench: Khris Davis
Bench: Henderson Alvarez
Bench: Garrett Jones (dropping by end of day)

I'm thinking I will have to deal some pitching for power, but I'm relatively pleased as I feel that I was behind the 8 ball with keepers when I took the team over.

Thoughts?

Would be interested to see auction prices.

Very nice staff, only critique is it looks thin. Offense will be average in 12 team.

I was under the impression that Kang would be getting more playing time than Hurdle is currently saying. Good catch.

You think Mercer or Crawford from waivers?

Neftali Feliz

Ryu's injury is scary. You could be without him for a while.

I don't think Kang gets many at bats. Go find a SS who will play.

I don't really love the team, but you have a lot of front end pitchers, so that is nice.

There is nothing wrong with Feliz. But you do need to grab a SS.

Probably Crawford there.

Right now I see you as a middle of the pack team because you're so strong pitching wise. How you fare in the end will depend on who and how much you're going to be able to get for David Price in June. Castillo and Davis are two wildcards on offense that will lessen your need for some extra power and speed... but right now we have no idea what to expect of them. If things break your way, you may only need to deal Iwakuma for some hitting and keep your pitching integrity intact.

I like Kang but you're definitely going to need a backup plan. He hasnt hit very well this spring, which usually isnt concerning for normal players, but being from Korea i look at him a little different.

maybe JJ Hardy is there in a 12 tm league? Brad Miller? Astrubal Carbrea? Jed lowrie? Not great options, but they really wont kill you.

I still like Miller's upside. I'd take a chance there if available.

Thanks guys. I know I'm gonna have to win a few trades and get contributions from the wildcards to seriously contend. I'll pick up a shortstop (looks like Crawford or Miller from the responses) and start shopping pitching for some more pop.

What's the deal with Feliz? I know the K% and FIP were ugly but he's outperformed his FIP significantly his entire career. I also don't see him having a ton of competition for the role if he struggles a bit out of the gate. He's no Chapman but he was priced appropriately IMO...

There is nothing wrong with him. You probably got him real cheap. He'll be getting Saves. Don't worry about Feliz.

he doesn't throw 96 anymore, but i dont think he'll be bad enough to lose his job. He didnt pitch at all in 2013, and had a pretty good 2014. Relievers are so year to year, I think he'll be ok.

For $2 I'm willing to deal with the inevitable roller coaster.

Sounds like Miller it is. Thanks for the feedback.

With Ryu being banged up, I wouldn't start right now. I'd enjoy some fruits of your labor first before you start shopping your pitching. Accumulating some of those pitching stats are pretty important for your team so you can get out to an early lead. Parlaying them into hitting later on will determine your fate.

If you got Feliz for $2, then that is fine. I just think there are 25+ better options at closer.
