You should be fine, only a defense could lose that much or an extremely poor outing from a QB.

on one hand I doubt a receiver has ever had a -5 by themselves
on the other I don’t think I’ve seen 5 points worth of stat corrections, either

The chances of him getting negative points is unlikely. The chances of him getting negative 5 points is absurdly low.

Bench him, he can get negative points for fumble, lost yds so don't take a chance

You think he is going to get -20 yards receiving and 2 fumbles? WTF? If you are in a PPR league the chances of him scoring greater than -5 points has to be 99.999999999999%.

He would have to run for a 40 yard loss and lose a fumble and get knocked out of the game

or 20 yard loss and fumble and a stat correction for two points on another player/D (his team or opponent) and he loses

If it was a defense we were talking about I’d be all for benching and not taking any chances. But an actual player, ya gotta roll with him out there.
