Heard congress was going to take a closer look at them, you might see less ads

If they put more money in advertising DFS could really take off.

Can someone explain how these leagues work? Is there a salary cap? Are you competing against every other person playing?

You get 50K to draft a 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 Flex, and 1 Defense. The scoring is normal PPR. You can play in the public leagues where you really make money if you do well or you can setup private leagues and play with friends. I enter the millionaire maker from time to time but every week I play in a private league.

you in Louisiana? Pretty sure you are ineligible for prizes in LA? Of course I could have read the small fine print wrong on the commercial, but I'm sure I didn't

Yeah I'm in Louisiana. My brother in law who lives in Minnesota runs the account for me and I send him my team each week. I started with $25 for The Masters and I've played with that and what I've won since then. Basically I win enough to keep playing each week. I won't withdraw any cash from the account.

Unlike Poker, I think DFS has some powerful people in its corner. The NFL knows these leagues are driving viewership. Hell, ESPN has an hour long lead up show this season focused on DFS. There's going to be a lot of money thrown at keeping it legal.

Last season I knew DFS was going to take off soon, but I didn't think it would take off this much.

is it really taking off though or are they forcing this shite on us. matthew berry got destroyed on twitter after his week 1 love/hate article was focused on dfs. most social media talks about how much they hate it and the commercials. being in lousiana maybe I don't see the full scope of it.

well, by more people playing DFS, they're making more money. hence, all the advertising that is costing them a boat load of money

35 million people play fantasy and they are all watching the games. That's aarge segment that daily is trying to convert
