I thought I made a good decision since he was playing the Panthers. This is my first year playing fantasy and now I see what everyone is talking about as far as surprises go through the year.

CJ Anderson is a stud?
I benched him in favor of Demarco Murray.

To get him you had to use a top 2-3 round pick right? That would be considered a stud IMO

What you should have known was that with a 1st time starting QB, the Broncos were going to lean on the run, and also, they had upgraded their OLine to improve their running game.

Also, Murray hasn't been a real stud since Dallas. Not only that, but he's going to be splitting time with Henry. But you made the play and live with it. Now you know you have a stud in Anderson.

Or the Panthers, who are a great defense, weren't going to let them get the run going and make the 1st time starting qb beat them in the air, against their 2 inexperienced corners.

Titans said yesterday Murray is the lead back and they won't be splitting carries, or riding the hot hand. It's Murray's job.

That's why i went with Murray this week.

Anderson is a RB1, so yes I wouldn't bench him

Anderson was drafted in the 7th round in my league, then the moron that drafted him dropped him for Hillman, which was hilariously stupid after he got cut.
I didn't even consider him as much of anything until about a week ago, and didn't trust him enough to start him given the scenarios i stated.

I wouldn't start CJ over my 3 WR's, and i'm not starting him over AP who's my other RB, so it's CJ/Murray/Woodhead as my RB2 each week, which i'm not looking forward to trying to choose between those 3 every week and getting someone to trade with me is an act of congress.

CJ is likely a stud now. But before last night he was not considered one. Demarco went in the 4th in my league and CJ went in the 5th. It was reasonable to bench him vs that defense and an unproven qb at the helm..

we drafted after only the first set of preseason games b/c we had too many idiots going on vacation and what not to schedule the draft later.
Did not like drafting that early.

CJ is not a 2nd round pick, and Murray is not either. They might perform better, but hindsight would tell you they are 4th-5th round at best. Whoever took them in the 2nd round probably never makes the playoffs in your league.

The ADP of CJ Anderson is 28th overall.

LINK

If he was available in the 5th round in your league, you are playing in a league full of idiots; yourself included.

and what was his ADP 3 weeks ago, when people look at last year and see Hillman putting up points and still on the roster, splitting carries with CJ in the first preseason game, and see a team with an unproven QB that might have trouble running the ball b/c of it?
I bet it isn't better than 40th.
It all started about 2 weeks ago once you were reminded what they signed him too back in March and word about Hillman not making the team. Before that, you had little reason to believe CJ was even the lead back.
