How long does it typically take to recover from a separated AC joint?
Is he likely done for the year? Everything I read about him narrowly focused to just this week.

Grade III is tough. Several torn ligaments. Pain tolerance and shoulder instability is the issue. May need a little off-season surgery. Hard to say if he will be back. Probably no one actually knows at this point if he will be back.

I separated my shoulder pretty bad in high school and the pain is ridiculous. Took me about 2 weeks before I could lift my hand above my shoulder. 4 weeks before I could even go back to p.e.
