My team is hitting a rut and I'm currently 6th seed to make the playoffs in a 12 team 1 point PPR League.

QB: Manning
RB1: D Murray
RB2: J Hill
WR1: steve smith sr
WR2: james jones
TE: Julius Thomas
Flex: Decker

Bench: Eddie Royal, Mckinnon, donte montcrief, charles sims, jarvis landry

I'm strongly thinking about offering Murray for Emmanuel Sanders. The way I see it is take a chance and let Manning do his thing. I know Murray is much better than Sanders but my team needs some sort of boost (especially with his bye week next). I'm in a sort of frick it mode and know it could backfire. Does anyone understand my train of thought or am I just going brain dead trying to force a change.

I also think Murray will start to get less touches as the season progresses, if that counts for anything

I understand your reasoning and I do not disagree with making a move. You have to get better for Murray than Sanders though. I know Sanders is no bum but I would shoot for Cobb, Jordy, Julio, DT88 type player before I "settle" on Sanders

Pretty dumb. You'd then be royally fricked at running back. If you're going to move Murray for Sanders, you better get a starting RB back as well. In a 1 point PPR, that's one group of depressing receivers.

well a big part of it being sanders would be his amount of targets from Manning combined with Julius' but I get what you are saying
