its the top 50 prospect list of one of the 3 major baseball publications, and it's free.

It's not some big secret

This. There is no information advantage now that we have the Internet and 10,000 fantasy sites. I can wait till the day before the draft to research and know as much as anyone else.

I mean, people could go ahead and post their free agent "watch list" while we are at it

Internet and fantasy sites and such. Same players, everyone has access to em

Or we can let people do that on their own. I'm pretty positive there are people in this league who aren't aware of certain avenues in which to obtain player knowledge and info

I don't see the big deal. But I deleted after LE and Rondo appeared visibly upset.

But what's the difference between what I posted and LE posting his top 10 draft prospects or you posting a mock draft before the TDBA draft?

I dont know if it's a big deal. I also dont know if it's necessary. Im just playing devil's advocate here

Everyone knows the NBA players?

I follow baseball pretty closely and I admittedly do not know really any of the draft picks. I know a few foreigners. There are what, 1200 guys drafted. Which is why I assume there are more than a few owners in this league who do not have a clue. I know where to go looking when the time comes, Im not sure they do

i posted my fav top 10 MiLB hitters, all are on teams except Moncada, who is all but a lock for the #1 pick.

My point is this league is cut throat, there are 20 teams, every little advantage helps and the margin is very very slim. I put in a good 2-3 hours a few weeks ago identifying both draftees from 2015 and international signings. Yes, everyone knows Alex Bregman but there are guys on the list that weren't exactly top 5 picks.

It's not like the list falls in line with the order of how they were drafted. I just don't see the point of giving context to the people who aren't putting the work to uncover players. Like if they want to go down the line of the 2015 draft and gauge value like that, fine. But to read up on all the players, not just the top ones, takes effort. Then there is a next level effort to find guys that werent drafted higher but may have a better outlook than some of the top picks.

Just looking to talk ball. Only reason why I've posted what I've posted.

It doesn't bother me if others know if I like a guy in Low-A ball.

It doesn't bother me when you or your brother post your top prospects and draft projections in basketball; y'all are talking ball.

I just thought it was a bit hypocritical.

Im not bothered. I probably won't even use my draft picks.

The other scenarios are apples to oranges, and I'd like to think you know that

Enjoy your day mate

Go ahead. Why would I care if you tipped your hand? I've got things I look for in players and your preferences aren't going to alter that. Hell, every site gives you pickups of the week - you have no special player knowledge that isn't already available to everyone else.

That was just a hypothetical my man.

I picked up like 5 prospexts in Law's list, 3 in top 50, off my free agent watch list. Others have done the same.

Point was, there are obviously some people who are asleep at the wheel. There are people that know and people that don't know. There is tons more to know on baseball as opposed to football and bball.

Obviously this is a split issue, some don't see the advantage, and that is fine.
