Can you give me a specific breakdown of the rules and how everything works?

Interested in transactions, length of contracts, etc. Pretty much anything you can put down that you can think of.

Auction draft, $300 cap. Use values on same base.

Kept players increase $10/year with no contract max. We also have one franchise tag under which tagged player has no increase year over year, but tagged player cannot be traded and must be dropped in order to tag a different player (dropped tagged player carries draft auction value specified in fantasy draft day values locked prior to draft).

Owners must budget $300 for keepers and draft to achieve full 18-man roster.

Standard scoring, 9 bench spots, no PPR.

Though we don't currently have a waiver process, it's advised with rosters this size.

We're only a couple years in and will amend bylaws as issues arise.

Good thing we aren't trying to iron out the rules and details last minute then, right? Dick

Kind of a mix between keeper/dynasty, but I'll post anyway

Hosted on Fantrax
17 player rosters with 2 DL slots
Keep 10 every year with no sort of penalty
Have 7 round rookie/FA draft every year with draft order in inverse order of last year's standings
Can trade future draft picks

The league is run on fantrax (premium league due to amount of teams - all 32 franchises) but paperwork is done on a closed forum.
quote:

Roster limits are:
-40 players maximum(unlimited IR slots...but player must be on Injured Reserve in real life to qualify) -32 players minimum
-6 man maximum Practice Squad
Positions - QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DL, LB, DB

League owners will need to make sure to be within that range of players by Midnight of the day of the last Pre-Season game.

Every team will have a *$60,000,000 cap, no one can go over this, and doing so will result in a 30% penalty on the player(s) whose signing put the team over the Cap.

Can trade draft picks including future draft picks (up to 2 years in advance)

quote:

4 round rookie draft with compensatory picks. Players are assigned contracts per draft slot ( 5 years for 1st round picks and then 3 years for remaining rounds)

quote:

RFA for players who are free agents before their 4th year in the league (after 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year [so 2nd round and later draft picks typically become RFA after their contracts expire])
4 tender levels - 3rd round pick, 2nd round pick, 1st round pick, 1st and 2nd round pick
Bids done by modified UFA system (see below)
If no one bids, then they can be resigned to 1-4 year contract but it must be approved or goes to 1 year tender.

quote:

Unrestricted free agency (and somewhat RFA)
Create a thread with player name and post salary and years (between 1 and 4) for each player. Add up money and years to get number. Each bid must increase by .2
quote:

EX. Bid Point totals are determined as follows:

$1,000,000 = 1 point
1 contract year = 1 point

Example:

Terry Bradshaw- $1,200,000 - 4 Years = 5.2 Points

Bids that aren't raised after 24 hours are considered won and it goes to the winning bidder.

quote:

Franchise tag comes from average of top 5 salaries per position for the previous year. Can tag a player 3 times but salary increases each year they are tagged.

Signings, trades, and releases are managed by the commissioners. 3 approvals needed to approve trades and RFA re-signings.

Active roster positions are 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 W/R/T, 3 DL, 3 LB, 4 DB, 2 ID (Individual Defender - like W/R/T), 1 K.

We've done a lot of work to get the balance of points right between the offense and defense. Also do special team yards for offensive and defensive players as well.

Hopefully that helps.
