you've had my team pegged pretty well each time though.

i finished last in 2014. thats where you ranked me.

you had me way higher in 2013 and I made it to the championship vs. BHAM

I like BilJ's WRs the most out of any teams and I like B Ham and Dro's teams also.

to me, my gambles are on Adams and Bryant, especially Adams.

but this caught my attention with Adams. He caught 4 TD's and had a pair of 100 yard games as a rookie w/ Green Bay last year. Nelson and Cobb, by comparison, didn't have any 100 yard games in their first years, with only 3 TD's combined.

as for Cam Newton, I feel better picking him knowing he's healthy this year. Just hope he doesn't let his new deal go to his head.

My team is usually 5-9 on these things. I always have a guy I like that people aren't that high on. Last year it was luck. Stafford a few years before that. This year I guess you could say that is big ben, but I think Kendall Wright will be really good in this format.

Pointless to rank them at this point, I'll just go through the teams and give some quick thoughts:

Dro- I like to think Dro spent much of his time during the delays contemplating his picks because it shows, tough to find any fault with much he did. As LE pointed out, he's sitting pretty if Gurley comes back strong. A few more weeks and we probably would have had a better clue as to where Gurley should have been drafted. I do wonder if Vereen will be as strong of a PPR play leaving NE, so could be a slow start for Dro if Gurley isn't ready early.

Port-PCT seems to be itching for someone to pat him on the head for his draft so here goes...Shocked the world with his OBJ pick. Is Odell as good as he looked last season or was it an anomaly? I think its the former. Some think Cruz's return will affect his market share in that offense, but I'm not so sure. Cruz was already regressing every year since his huge season before the devastating injury, this offense still belongs to Beckham. Loved the Forsett pick as well, should be a PPR stud. Not as in love with Bell or Yeldon as he seems to be. Some solid depth picks in the late rounds that could up make for some good trade bait (cough 21 cough)

LE- Got the best player in the draft at the 4 spot and should be able to weather the early storm without him with the other RBs he took early. I think Spiller is just going to kill it in PPR this year. His WR play rests in the hands of Geno Smith and EJ Manuel, so that should scare the shite out of him. Its year 3 of the Zach Ertz arrival tour, will this be the year he becomes a reliable TE1? Possibly. I liked Funchess late as well, defacto #2 in Carolina and paid virtually nothing for him, I don't know if that position will have fantasy value, but again paid nothing for it.

LC-Started out with a nice 1-2 punch at RB. Some are arguing for AP as high as #1 and I can't really argue with them. In Norv's offense with improved QB play should make for one hell of a season for him. No other startable RBs past that though, so he'll be filling his flex with Bryant or Adams every week, I wouldn't say either are quite reliable weekly starters in PPR yet, so might drive himself mad trying to figure out which to start each week.

G$- Ummm outside of QB I wouldn't say you have a strength. Lynch is paired up with a meh back and Hilton is paired with the always maddening VJax and Maclin, whom I love just not with Alex Smith, but maybe we're being overly harsh on him. Steve Smith started out hot last year, but fell off down the stretch I don't know man, not a lot to love here.

MWG-Came out swinging bringing in 3 PPR studs. If Julio stays healthy I wouldn't be shocked to see him finish as the #1 WR. He also covered his arse well if gronk starts the season without Brady nabbing Ledarious. I can't say I'm liking what he did at RB.....and he's pretty much married to them for better or worse. Better hope Murray is who you think he is and Randle is the lead dog in Dallas, he's in great shape if he only gets 1 of those right though.

TTT- Getting Lacy at 8 was good. Tried to preemptively begin the QB run, only no one but $ followed suit so he kind of put himself behind the 8 ball. Andre is pretty key for his team. Is Andre due a resurgence in this high powered offense or is he now just more of a complementary guy who will provide OK production? He did rail off 3 good value picks at RB in a row there with Jennings, Coleman, and Ivory.

CE-I can't really figure out why he seems to be down on his team. Demaryius & Nelson are one hell of a duo at WR, throw in Amari Cooper who I think hits the ground running and he's looking great at WR There's also solid depth in guys like Perriman, Brown, and Jones. At RB Lamar Miller isn't spectacular but solid. I don't really like Hyde at all, but Blount is undervalued. Then he's got what should be serviceable PPR backs in both Duke Johnson and Reggie Bush. I'm also a big fan of Kelce this year, once Reid's fat arse finally unleashed him last year he tore it up and Fasano is gone so that should hopefully mean more redzone looks for him as well.

Bham- Nailed his top two picks with Dez and Foster. If Martin finally bounces back as some seem to speculating then he's got some good RBs. At WR I think Kelvin is one the guys who takes a step back this season, I see him as more of a product of volume last season, not a guy headed for upper tier WR status. He might be this year's Keenan Allen. Brady could prove to be a huge steal if that suspension gets dropped or even reduced. Kashonly would love what you did at TE.

Gyno- LOVE your top 2. Megatron is going to have people kicking themselves for passing on him and then CJ Anderson should be in for a big year. I think his stock is going to shoot up even further the next few weeks as people see Ball's fat arse is no threat to him. TE used to be Gronk, Jimmy, and then everybody else. Now I think JG's value is closer to the other TE1s . I like Gore a good bit this year. Gio also still has value in a PPR, if he's healthy they aren't going to just completely phase him out of the offense. Better hope Robinson is who you think he is though.

21-Forte may not catch as many balls post Trestman, but he's too good in that department to not still be a factor in the passing game. Not a big fan of McCoy this year, but hey if we're all wrong on him than you're in a good position. . Damn your team would looked damn good had you started: Forte, Jordy Nelson, Gordon, and then tate. Drafted White too early, don't think he's ready to be your #2

eta: You can thank me being bored at a conference to do this write up

The way I figure my team is

Calvin, CJ, and Romo will flirt with top 10 @ their positions

Graham will be top 5 at his

Gore and Gio should fall into that top 24 RB territory (so RB2 at worst) at worst. Potential to crack top 15ish

Of course Allen Robinson is the wildcard here. Like I said, he was on pace for 130 targets. He had one of the better rookie stretches for a WR in recent memory before he went down. I will set a generous floor (which i think he can eclipse easily) for him at 75/1000/5, which would make him comparable to what DJax, AJ Green, Jordan Matthews finished out last season with, point wise.

And like every other chump I think some guys on my bench will pop

White was an upside pick because I thought I could still get a reliable WR2 next go around and I did in Anquan Boldin

Last 2 seasons of 80+ catches 130+ targets 1000+ yards. Yup, sign me up.

This is how I see my team.

Top 5 QB in Peyton

2 RB1 in mccoy and forte

2 WR2 in Tate/Boldin, Tate can flirt with WR1 if Calvin is limited in the game.

Gordon can be a RB2.

Top 5 TE in Bennett. Possibly more targets this year with no Marshall.

White taking the alshon Jefferery role upside. Wallace on a new team upside. Nelson Agholor playing in chip Kellys offense...

I think Bennet reached his ceiling last year.

He'll be cutlers second favorite target. With Marshall gone I think he'll match his numbers from last year. Can't see any other TE kicking him out of the top 5. Gronk/Jimmy/Olsen/Kelce.

The goal is certainly to be more balanced on offense, Terry. The Lions were about a 58-42 pass to run team last season. Caldwell wants that number closer to 50-50.

Caldwell wants to run the ball more consistently and that couldn’t be more evident than with the selection of guard Laken Tomlinson in the first round and running back Ameer Abdullah in the second round.

Abdullah is going to play a similar role as Reggie Bush did in this offense and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets somewhere in the range of 15 touches per game as a runner and pass catcher.

Joique Bell was the team's leading rusher last year and averaged about 15 carries per game. If Abdullah is as good as the Lions think he’ll be, I’m guessing he gets around 15 touches per game early in the season and potentially builds on that as the year goes on.
