If he gets 20 touches a game he may be the #1 back next year.

the broncos running game was a mess as a whole, wouldn't put the blame on cj anderson. So unless you expect a total collapse of the cards offense, I don't think its a good comparison.

Gurley was definitely intriguing right there.

CJ Anderson finishes the season with 700+ yards at 4.7 ypc and 5 TDs. He really wasn't even that bad

That said, Johnson is being slightly overhyped. If these are PPR rankings, I don't have him much higher than say a Jeremy Langford or even a Thomas Rawls, depending if they add other RBs.

The RB position as a whole is will a huge jumble after Leveon Bell. Lot of jobs getting freed up, lotta RBs in new places. Really gotta look at it in the summer to determine who slots where

They were standard, not PPR

Interesting that he's 4. I was impressed by his hands in the pass game, I assumed this was PPR and they were penciling him in for 50 or so catches.

There has been 1 guy a year, on average, in 2013, 2014, and 2015 who got the mythical "20 carries a game". That's just not the NFL anymore. 2012 you saw 5 guys get 20+ a game!

Look at Jeremy Hill, whose situation with Bernard may be similar to a Johnson/Ellington (if healthy), both in distribution and skill levels of the RBs.. offenses in general, really. Hill totes it 223 times, but still yields 154 to Bernard

Well now they can at least use him better now that they have Johnson

Could keep him healthy

he managed to get hurt with spot duty snaps this year though. But I get your overall point.

If Johnson stays healthy, he's the highest scoring back next year. Arians rides 1 guy. No homo.

Yea he was banged up early in training camp, I don't think he was ever fully healthy though. Was on injury report all year

I think that can be a scary duo.

It should also be noted they get SEA and up and coming STL a quarter of the year

Possibly. It seems like every year there is a running back that busts out towards the end of the season and then is drafted in the top 10 the following year only to lay an egg that season. Off the top of my head I can think of Doug Martin (this year he finally bounced back), Zac Stacy, and CJ Anderson to have done this. No way I would touch David Johnson in the top 10.

Outside of Peterson and Bell I'm hesitant to draft a RB in the first round anyways (I play PPR). Even with them I'm still nervous about it because I've gotten burned with injuries or losing starting jobs too many times on 1st round RBs.

Yea but that's where Ellington could come in on 3rd down

Regardless we ain't taking RB early amirite. Major value there next year

yeah I've already determined he'll be out my price range so I don't know why I'm arguing for him. Same with anderson this past season.
