So me and a handful of buddies are thinking of trying out fantasy hoops for the first time and was just wondering what are you guys' experience?
Is it funner because it's fast-paced? Tedious and hard to keep up with? How does the scoring for a steady amount of games over a week work?

More tedious than football... less than baseball.
You can do scoring by categories (pts, rebs, asst, blocks, turnovers, steals) and whatever team wins most categories over a week wins game. Or by points, most pts wins game

It's as tedious as you want to make it. I've played in leagues where you only set your lineup once a week and leagues where you set your lineup daily. You can do points scoring or category scoring. In points scoring, you typically just gun for the best players; in category scoring, you tend to shoot for the well rounded players that can fill the stat sheet.
I would recommend weekly lineups if it is a casual fun league where you may have a few inactive GMs. If you want it to be competitive and you know everyone will be active, daily lineups is the way to go.
