I picked him up in my FL do you expect him to continue to get regular ab's even when McCann returns?

McCann makes like $12m a year and has no trade value coming off injury. He's also the de facto leader of the braves and the longest tenured I'm guessing.

Freeman will be back so no 1B for Gattis.

He will still see ABs but it won't be everyday barring injury. Unless he gets traded, which I doubt. I'd sell high while you can

Yeah, I'm struggling to see where he fits.

Kinda wish they'd play him over McCann, though.

Gotta like the shiny new toy

Can't ignore the fact McCann has hit 20 HRs every year but one (still hit 18 and drove in 90+). Dude has been consistent and has the postseason experience the Braves will need down the stretch

Gattis has been impressive, but you gotta think he cools off a bit. Scouting reports etc may catch up to him? Idk. Ultimate sell high guy while everyone is enamored w him

Yeah, Mac's been great. I'm scared injuries are taking their toll on him. His production has slowly declined. Probably his last year in ATL, unless the NL gets the DH next season.

Gattis just keeps proving naysayers wrong. You would assume he'd slow down, but who knows.

He's hitting off the best pitchers in the NL

It's impressive

Yeah, and he has such a short swing for a big, burly guy.

My guess would be that he'll start seeing a heavy dose of breaking balls, but seems like his swing will still allow him to hit those... if he has the eye/timing for it.

I was cautiously optimistic about him heading into the season. Never expected him to be this good.

He's been laying off breaking pitches in the games I watched. And like you said, his swing is short and powerful
