ESPN Fantasy Baseball players

If I am to assume my commissioner is going off mainly default settings, then I have a question. Do you mostly stack your lineup with starting pitchers? They produce the majority of points, but my every day players could be vulnerable in case of injury. Are others familiar with this strategy? I'm off to a good start, but this is my first year using ESPN's model. Edit: League is weekly, head-to-head match ups.

I load my bench with starters behind 5 closers. Getting your maximum amount of starts in a points league is critical.

I play in a highly competitive 12 team keeper league, we do an auction draft and I draft 0 starting pitchers. 2 years ago I noticed that SP's went at an ultra high premium in the draft and being that each real life baseball team has at least 5 starters, it is an easy position to stream. I also take fliers early on any potential call ups, as this can be another way to end up having some strong players at this position later in the year.
I try to get 4 top closers (we have a 4 rp max roster limit) and spend $190-200 of my 260 budget on hitting.
You only have to win 6 categories to win the week.
I've won saves, era and whip every week so far this season. Last week my opponent had 2 starters get shelled on monday so I streamed starters and won K's last week as well.
I feel like fantasy baseball is very much strategy based in a competitive league, you have to look at your league and see how you can gain some type of strategy based advantage. I attempted my first year to load up on the pitching side, then fill my batting line up with high average, runs scored and steals players. I found that this strategy was a lot harder to predict, and the SP's cost a lot more money in my draft.

I am allowed 10 starts per week. I have 8 starting pitchers. Two closers. There's only 3 active spots per day.

Seems like you have to best wasting starters starts then if only 3 slots.
We have 8 starts a week in my league but 2 SP, 2 RP and 3 P slots active daily.
