Who would you prefer the rest of the year if you had to pick 1 up.

Theo Riddick was terrible handling the load yesterday, but should still factor in 3rd down passing. I can see Dwayne handling 15 carries per week now as the lead back.

Langford goes down, so it's Howards job alone, but for how long?

Very helpful answer.

I'd probably roll the dice on Washington. Riddick will be involved but I don't think Langford is ever going away completely either. They will also involved Kadeem Carey when he comes back.

But Washington showed something Riddick didn’t. He was able to make something out of seemingly nothing. Against the Packers on Sunday, that was noticeable enough.

He’s always been an intriguing prospect because of his combination of size (6-foot-1, 223 pounds) and speed. His hands have been better over the past two months as well. And he caught the eye of at least one Packers defender, Mike Daniels.

“He’s got some strength to him,” Daniels said. “There’s a couple times where I was trying to chase him down and it looks like he’d be gloved up and right before he made contact with whoever was the safety or the linebacker, he accelerated to try and run through him.

“So that’s impressive.”

Riddick's passing role isn't going anywhere though so it does limit him a bit.

Packers run D is stout. Daniels is a beast too

Washington could have RB3 potential, RB2 upside

As a David Johnson owner, ok to go ahead and trade Howard for Chris Johnson? Howard is my 4th RB in a standard league.

I mean if the job ends up being howard's, I think you could pry more from someone with so many teams likely RB starved

let someone else continue to roster your handcuff if they want to waste the space

Dwayne Washington played a lot in a game with horrible script for #Lions. 11 touches, 36% snaps. They get the #Bears this week.

With the Langford news I think both must be owned. If one of those guys goes gangbusters and runs away w that job, where do you want to be? Chances aren't great but w the RB landscape how it is, it worth the shot.

Both need to be on rosters but for PPR I would give Howard the edge. Washington should be out carrying Riddick. If you watched the game he was clearly the better runner. I think Washington will gain more early down work and also goal line carries as the season progresses while Riddick retains his role as a pass catcher where he is much more effective. I'm hoping Washington takes off because I can really use the help at RB.

Leaving W3 feeling pretty good about Dwayne Washington. Averaged 3.8 YPC this week. All other RBs have averaged 1.7 YPC vs. GB this year.

Bump for more discussion.

0.5 PPR, have Bell / Williams, Hyde, Doug Martin and Washington now, 5 rb limit so i would have to drop a rb to pick up Howard - obvious choice would be Washington - who do you all like going forward?

So you're trading the potential starter for a season long backup?

Do you feel the need to roster Bell's handcuff? If so, then you have to decide who you like more between Washington and Howard. I like Washington slightly more due to the offense he's in, but I think they both have value.

If Williams hadn't absolutely dominated every time bell went out the last year and a half - no, but since he has i can't drop him.

So essentially, yes i'm trying to figure out if it is worth dropping Washington for Howard. I think i may just roll with Washington at this point in time.
