12 team league, .5 PPR, start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1TE, and a flex. I have the 8th pick. Here is how I see the draft going:

Johnson, Bell, Brown, McCoy, OBJ, Julio, Freeman.

That leaves me with Evans, Gordon, AJ, Jorday, Murray. Who would you choose out of these guys?

Thanks and good luck this year.

Edit: Link me to your question and I'll be glad to respond

Wow. First time I've heard someone taking Evans that high. Would you mind expanding a bit on what you like about him so much? Thanks.

If it plays out that way, I'd lean Evans - although you can't go wrong with AJ either.

If Freeman or Shady fall to you, I'd take one of those (Freeman over Shady but it's basically equal).

I'm not as high onEvans as others. I think DJax and Howard takes some looks away and Evans yac (1.8 yds) was the lowest of all the elites last year. If the yac doesn't improve his volume is gonna need to be ridiculous to meet expectations where he's being drafted (160+ targets) . The yac could definitely improve with the additions and having receivers other than russel Sheppard and no names but he could be this years Hopkins with Winston throwing the ball to the other team too often

I'd probably be in the minority here, but I'd go Jordy. May be a little high for him, especially considering the other targets in that offense, but he always manages to put up really solid numbers. He was 10th in yahoo 1.0 PPR leagues last year among all players, and 2nd among WRs fwiw.

Of course, who was #3? Mike Evans.

That might be one of the worst takes I've read on here.

96/1300-12 and you are talking about Yac? Wtf

It's hard to YAC when ya catch 12 balls in the end zone.

I would go Evans but Jordy was a monster last year. I think he ended up the #2 fantasy WR and his role ain't changing.

I saw something similar with the yac and Hopkins comparison on the FF subreddit. I think it's reaching to read the tea leaves in obscure stats way too much. Hopkins was a huge disappointment last year because he had a QB who couldn't get him the ball. It's that simple. Trying to compare Jameis to Osweiler is trying to get too cute.

I think with more weapons in Tampa's offense it will open the field more for Evans. I think shady and julio will get hurt. And I just trust Evans will put up better numbers than Freeman.

Evans stood out in Tuesday's joint practice with the Jaguars, making plays in both individual and team drills, Joe Kania of the team's official site reports.

Spin: The towering receiver was dominant in essentially every aspect of the session, hauling in two touchdowns during one-on-one drills against Tyler Patmon and Dwayne Thomas. He then kicked off team drills with back-to-back receptions later in the session. Considering he also turned in an impressive performance in the preseason opener against the Bengals last Friday, Evans looks primed for yet another prolific campaign.

Plus I think Winston is primed to break out this year. Hate the guy but I could see him (Winston) being the number 1 fantasy scorer this year.
