Should I pick up Verlander? I don't really follow baseball, so even though I know JV has been incredible the last several years I have no idea what he's supposed to do this season, especially coming off injury. I know he's still got a bit before he is actually active, but would it be a good idea to go ahead and pick him up?

I think he is done. I have zero interest in owning him in any league or format.

well crap. I already picked him up, I just dropped some scrub so it's not like I lost anything important, but still I hate to think of just having a wasted roster spot.

still

i'm sort of stuck on the weather situation for the A's-Twins game.

i'd like to use some of the bats in that one but don't want to load up if they end up having to call the game a few innings in or something.

a few early games:

Volquez
VMart
Gonzalez
Kinsler
Moustakas
Castro
Braun
Guerrero
Cespedes

Volquez
Montero
Lind
Kendrick
Bryant
Segura
Cain
Pederson
Cespedes

wanted to use some bats from A's-Twins but the rain possibility got me.

I'm not expecting anything good toady

Brutal week for me.

only play those $3 tournament games... but still.

ever since I had Shelby Miller vs. the Reds a few days ago, my pitching hasn't really been that good.

hitting was okay.

but not today. Had Devon Travis and Ramos from the Nats both scoring a 4.5 but other than that.

jack shite.

Felix scored 15 points with the win in his game but paying $11,300 I think.... I was left feeling like there was more to be desired there.

it happens.

Great week last week for me. Justin Upton put me in the money late Saturday night with that leadoff HR in the 12th inning.

I'm rolling out this lineup tonight:
P - Mike Leake
C - Miguel Montero
1B - Eric Hosmer
2B - Brandon Phillips
SS - Andrelton Simmons
3B - Evan Longoria
OF - Ryan Braun
OF - Khris Davis
OF - Adam Jones

Braun has crushed Shark in years past. Not sure I'd use Khris Davis tho

Still contemplating on this one. Only reason I like him is because I watched all 3 games with the Cubs this weekend and he absolutely murdered the ball all weekend. Had 3 2Bs and a HR in the series plus it is a good hitters park.

Longo is like 21/52 with 4 HRs and 10 RBIs against Sabathia, so I love him tonight.

is there a good reference site for baseball that y'all might use?

or do y'all just watch games all the time? I only have basic cable so I only get baseball on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday nights on ESPN.

Fox sports south sometimes will have the Braves on.

I know basically everything there is to know about the Cubs players in terms of who is hot and who is not (also who will play day to day) because I watch every single game.

To see how a particular hitter is doing against a particular pitcher I simply use mlb.com. If you go to the scoreboard and then the preview for a particular game and then the probables you can click on "expanded stats" and it will tell you the stats for every hitter going against that pitcher.

Swapped Longo out for Donaldson. Same price. Had too many Rays in my lineup.
