Have some folks on the DL/NA lists, and need to pick up a filler bat of the waiver wire. (5x5 H2H) This bat would play once, maaaaaybe twice a week.

Options that (barely) intrigue me:

Mike Napoli - 1B
Ryan Howard - 1B
Mike Moustakas - 3B
Chase Headley - 1B/3B

Napoli and Howard could provide some pop, and a shitty average. Moustakas is hitting in the 2 spot in KC. Headley can play 1st and 3rd.

Any preferences?

Napoli, Moustakas, Headley, Howard

Napoli is probably the safest bet... then Headley. I put Moustakas second because I find him more intriguing especially since they put him in the 2 hole. KC has got to be seeing something to put him there.

Give me Howard over Moustakas. You will at least get HR and RBI.

I wouldn't argue against it... Howard is a better bet for production over Moustakas. They all are.

Are county miles more or less than country miles?

Howard or Headley, then Napoli Moustakas

Headley will like that RF porch against righties in Yank Stadium

Thanks for the advice. I think I may just stream a bat for a while.

I signed Moustakas for today, Headley clears waivers on Saturday, so I may pick him up.

I think Headley's appeal to me is that he can play 3B as well.

I already have Abreu at first and Matt Adams at UT, so the appearances for just a 1B bat are probably limited.

I'll see how Moustakas does today and tomorrow. I'll probably throw Lind in my watch mix as well.
