Commish of work league and a frickstick decided to trade away their good players. I know how to reverse the trades, but how do you lock their roster?

I have LM Tools. Thanks, I just only looked quickly, but I am sure it is on there.

Don't need vetoes. I will reverse the trades.

Assumed everyone was above this.

Would deleting the owner mess up the league?

do you not have a trade review period? I'm commish in my work league and we have it set up where only I have the power to veto a trade. I'm extremely fair with it and only veto obvious collusion or severely unbalanced trades. But it prevents bs like this from happening.... A lot easier to stop it before it actually happens.

I never saw that option to require commish approval.

I only saw league vetoes and no trade review.

Unfortunately, if the rules were that no one had veto authority and any trade goes, then you may not have much ground to stand on. I know it sucks but that's why you have rules.... Always assume someone will try to mess it up.

Hopefully it's not a money league. I would talk to the 2 guys involved and explain how what he has done potentially ruins it for everyone. Hopefully they agree to undo trade and then you can set some new rules.

I know ESPN has it.

The person made five separate trades in a span of five minutes to different teams. Everyone is fine with me reversing it.

Guess I just missed that option then I should definitely do that in the future.

However, I thought there was a lock roster option and I still want to find it.

If you are using ESPN, I believe the only options for vetos are choosing the number of votes needed to veto (1-12) or "LM Only Vetos"... if you don't require any votes then you must have set it to "LM Only Vetos"..... Where you messed up was not having a trade review period. I have mine set to 1 day primarily to avoid something like this.

I don't see the option to lock a roster, but doesn't mean it's not there. If every other person in the league is ok with reversing the trades then do so, but also make sure they are cool with you adding a trade review period of 1 day to prevent this happening again this season. Also, I hope you have a waiver period, because his next move is a roster dump

I hate the trade review period more than anything. Too impatient.

As the league manager you can push the trade through immediately.... It just gives you the option to review it.

Thanks for the help. I switched it to your settings and reversed the bogus trades. I wish there was a lock roster setting.

you can try adding yourself (or someone else) as a 2nd owner to his team then deleting him from the team.

Here's how you would do that

LM Tools > Edit Owners & Send Invites .... In column on far right you can select to add a 2nd owner to a team. After you add a 2nd owner, that same column then gives you the option to "Delete 1st Owner" or "Delete 2nd Owner". Just delete the 1st owner and he's out.

If you're the 2nd owner, just have everyone agree that you will set the lineup for future games based on highest projections.
