Cam Newton, when do you get him?

I have the first pick in my standard non-ppr league, 10 teams. Is the first pick in the 3rd too early to go grab him? I'm thinking Brown first pick, then seeing who my best RB/WR is at the 2nd pick and grabbing him on my 3rd pick.

His ADP is in the second I believe. I think people are overpaying for him. If you can get him in the third that should be fine, but I wouldn't expect him to be there. Before that is reaching. Cam is this year's version of putting too much value on the QB. I would probably generally avoid.

Guys who had Cam last year didn't do well because they got him early, they did well because they got him later and stocked up on other positions.

I dk I won't be getting him, I'll be getting Eli or Rivers in like the 10th and letting my RB/WR rape whatever dumbass picks Cam in the 3rd

This is useless without the link, but I don't remember where I saw it but the concept is still there no less. It was comparing the best fantasy QB numbers vs the middle of the pack QB numbers and on average it was only like 4 pts difference per game. That has shifted my philosophy on grabbing QB's early.

I just grabbed him in 3rd rd. Usually pickup a qb later but couldnt pass him up. Julio and Reed before him
