Dropped in my league this AM. 12-team standard. My current RB's Fournette, Carson, D Martin (SSPD), AP, Duke Johnson. I have the 2nd waiver spot, guy with the 1st is the one who dropped him. Is he worth using the 2nd waiver on? Will he pick things up at some point? If so, who do you drop to add him? Currently have 2 DST's, KC and PHI, but don't really want to drop either. Other droppable player is WR Moncrief, but want to hold onto him for WR depth for when/if Luck comes back.

I mean in a 12-team standard I may consider it, but if you can hold out until D. Martin comes back I would pass.

Yes pick him up. Drop Moncrief, AD or one of the defensea

Banked hard on D-Mart in the draft. Took him pretty early and told myself if I could tread water until he came back I'd be good. 2-0 so far. Just need to get thru the next 2 weeks, should have only been 1 more week but w.e. Just thinking to myself if Powell turns it around, holding that waiver spot waiting for someone just to get injured may end up being a waste.

What makes you not want to drop a defense?

Just like having the option of both. Actually just picked up PHI this AM, but really like both of them in fantasy.

Why was everyone so high on this guy early on, and completely ignoring Forte? Clearly Forte is still there and still doing decently well...
I've got him in a couple of leagues, but he's just sitting on the bench for now.

Every year, the "experts" say that the backup running back is gonna take over. Last year it was Derrick Henry taking over for Murray. This year, Perine over Kelley and Powell over Forte. I feel like everyone falls for the banana in the tail pipe year after year.

The fact McGuire got so many touches last week is more so concerning to me than Forte. McGuire has more wiggle than both and they say his IQ is pretty high. We knew Forte would almost be an equal split with Powell, but throw McGuire in there and it's a mess. But even still, it's hard when a mid-tier range drafted RB hits the market for free.

You realize forte was 15th in the league in carries last year
He was still there last year.
The idea behind Powell was he had value as a pass catching back with the possibility for more if forte falters or gets hurt
He's not a RB you drafted to count on right away. Check last year's game logs to see how it progressed
It's two weeks
ETA- there are trade whispers regarding Powell too

Is it just me or is everyone freaking out more this year than usual after 2 games?

So you pull the trigger if put in the position?

Your RBs are bad but Powell carries more value in PPR. Just know he's not the immediate answer to your problems
That said I prob wouldn't burn the priority. Save it for a better RB. Set an alarm for when Powell clears and try and add him through free agency

He's worth picking up, but don't use a waiver claim on him. Wait to see if he clears waivers.

Set an alarm
4am wake-up this morning to comb free agents has me tired today
ETA: I have both Powell and Forte on my bench. Wish I would have drafted differently

It's all speculative twitter chatter at this point.
We know the Jets were trying to deal forte in the offseason. If McGuire keeps working in they may look to shop one if they can. They aren't winning so they'll be looking to acquire picks
