Honestly, just the type of scoring cheat sheet and lots of mocks. You'll be ahead of the game.

Unless you're in a true standard or true PPR there is no good cheat sheet.

My suggestion is to find a consensus projections spreadsheet and modify it/calculate values based on formulas for how your league is scored.

I always take the yahoo scoring projections and merge it with a few others. Take the average in Excel and then highlight the players I want to target by position and round. Then read up on sleepers and busts for a few weeks during preseason. Always take a kicker last. Always try to get a top 5 defense because they score a lot in my league. Between kicker, defense and TE, ill draft a backup for whichever position has the first bye week. Then drop and add that player for the others. I keep winning my league so it works.

Biggest key is to understand point systems and take advantage of stuff like return yards. Ex: Randall Cobb will score more points than most running backs due to his return yards. But nobody remembers and he is about the 15th WR off the board.

Never take a QB before 3rd round. After that its up to you and who's left. The 3-10 QBs aren't separated by many points so why lose out on a top WR or RB in round 3-4 if those will be available. 12-14 man leagues are different rules and I hate them.
