Are there any resources that have blank/blind excel sheets with players listed?

so like some sort of excel (or hell, even word) database of payers, positions, teams, etc
i really don't feel like hand-entering 300 players into a new document to group players

Go to a sites adp rankings, copy and paste those players into an excel spreadsheet and then you can set your spreadsheet up how you want it.
You don't have to key 300 names in by hand.
ETA: Use the text to column feature under the data tab and you can set the delimitation accordingly.

I was thinking that you could just copy and paste some stuff off of the internet into excel, but I thought that maybe sounded too easy.

SFP, I use to pay for Draftsharks, they allow you to download their list to an excel sheet.
But what I do now is just copy and paste each team's depth chart into an excel sheet.
Also, there is an app called NFL Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet & Draft Kit. IMO it is the best tool to go into a draft with. If you play in multiple leagues, you can set it up for each league, and it generates rankings by the rules of each respective league. When someone is drafted, you can take them off the board, you can either keep up with what teams are drafting what, including yours are just keep up with your roster.
You can sort players in different ways, I think you can look at teams current depth charts, it ranks rookies, etc. I play in 3 money leagues, two are auction leagues obviously done in person and I play in a 7 player keeper league in which we draft online. Each person gets like 12 hrs to pick their player, but everyone drafts in a reasonable time. The only thing I bring to the drafts is my ipad. There are people in the leagues I play in, who still buys magazines.
We have been playing in one of the leagues for 19 years. One of the leagues is 4 years old and the other one is 10 years old. I have three super bowls, several super bowl appearances, have won my divisions multiple times, have been scoring champ maybe 3 or 4 times.
When I stopped putting too much thought in it and simplified how I prepared, I actually started doing better. This is what I do.
- Keep up with player ranking, just to see the trends.
- Keep up with injuries (suspensions, etc)
- And never make a decision based on what you see in a preseason game.
Depth charts tell you what you need to know.

i have my tiered sheet in excel. All you have to do is cut and paste.

Redd is calling amateur hour cause literally all you need to do is go to the ESPN top 300 and copy and paste.
With some very simple formatting (or clearing their formatting), you will have a spreadsheet that is sortable by rank, position, adp, etc.

i know even less about excel than i do about preparing for FFB, just for the record
Posted on 7/20/17 at 3:14 pm to SlowFlowPro
Ctrl+c and ctrl+v is literally probably all you need to do. Depending on the formating there might be a little more, but I doubt it.

I think you would really like and appreciate having a beginner's level of knowledge in Excel. Sortable and filtered data >>>
One of us can do it for you literally in two minutes if needed.

Have you shared that with the board yet? I wait for it every year. Solid work year in and year out.

I've just finished the bye weeks, but I still have to go through the rankings. A lot of sites are all over the place with rankings and some I just don't see how they are ranking certain guys. I'll have it up soon.
